Even though the birds are flying back to Northern destinations, there is still a lot going on here at the beaches. Check La Playa Newspaper for beach events, happy hours, live music, salsa, farmer’s markets, exercise classes and more. Always be sure to double-check the Events Calendar at Playacommunity for cancelations, changes and new events that didn’t make the newspaper cut-off deadline.

Saturday, May 11
PANAJAM drives out to Santa Catalina with passengers in tow to watch the World Surfing Games. Join the fun.
PUNTO G's Grand Re-Opening. Vera and her tech crew have moved the computer shop. They are now located on the mountain side of the highway next to California Burger. Stop in for free champagne and finger foods and check out the new location between 1pm – 4pm.
Thursday May 16

Saturday May 18
Rancho Los Toros returns to the circuit with a 5 Course Wine Pairing Dinner. $40 per person for 5 courses and 5 glasses of wine, or if you prefer to stay the night, a private room includes the dinner with breakfast in the morning for $150 per couple (This is a super deal!)
