Panama U.S. Navy League next meeting:
This month our Navy League dinner presents a new look at urban
gardening with Ursula Kiener Ford, Founder of Urban Gardening Panama.
It's not just about hanging a few plants on the balcony either.
Urban Gardening Panama grew out of Ursula's Panama City apartment
balcony. Buying herbs in the countryside she ended up with quite a
collection. Using the herbs for cooking, family and friends could
taste the difference in freshness and flavor because they were
produced organically.
Like so many success stories, Ursula's hobby is now a growing business
involving resale of freshly grown products and teaching others how to
do it for themselves.
Ursula is a true entrepreneur having created two companies, Panama
Travel Group and Forlacol Insurance Brokers before the age of 25.
Graduated with a double major in business from Florida State
University, she proceeded to get her general and life insurance
licenses in Panama, as well as her broadcasting license.
