Warnings about travel to/in Colon, Panama

Panama media is broadcasting scenes of violent protests.  Several roads appear to be blocked and protesters are setting fire to objects to further block the road.  Anti-riot police are dispensing tear gas in response to the protesters.  Strongly consider avoiding travel to or within Colon at this time.  If you must travel to or in Colon, monitor local media, obey instructions of local authorities, and adjust your plans accordingly.
